My
Child's Health Records Book was developed
after my son was born. I just thought I was organizationally challenged
before, now I was sleep deprived also! We'd come home from a Doctor's
appointment and my husband would ask what the doctor had to say. I
would just stare at him with a blank look wondering the same thing
myself. So I sat down and designed forms to fill out before we even
left for the next appointment. I never again forgot to ask the doctor a
question, or forgot what he said. Health Records Books make great Baby
Shower or New Mother gifts.

My son's pediatrician was
impressed with the records I was keeping in my first version of this
book. I always knew how many ear infections my son had, how far apart
they were and what antibiotics had been prescribed. He told me he
wished all his parents kept up with their kids health like this. (I
think he liked not having to decipher his own handwriting in the
official records!)
The nurses tended to rely on the information in my book as to where my
son's last immunization site was so they could give him his latest shot
in the opposite leg. I could also write down how to care for the
immunization site. (Was it hot then cold compresses or cold then hot?)
My Mom can't remember if I had mumps or not. I have illness records for
my son and more at my fingertips with this book.
